Hello, Old Friends.

Hello, Old Friends! Oh, how I’ve missed blogging. School started a few weeks ago, and I must admit, it took me a while to get into the swing of things. I have four classes, an internship, a practicum in the school of communications, and a new job that I’ve been settling into, too. There were days where I didn’t even think I’d have time to breathe.

I’ve calmed down a bit, and figured out my schedule, so I’m ready to get back into blogging. And what a perfect time to get back into things – It’s Fall! The leaves are starting to change, there’s a crispness in the air, and there’s an overload of pumpkin (if there is such a thing).

When the weather starts to cool off, it’s time to fire up the oven and make some yummy dishes to warm up with. I’ve picked the top five recipes that I’m looking forward to trying this fall.

5: Pumpkin Bars

Pumpkin, all day, every day. This recipe from Pine Cones and Acorns features a pumpkin bar that is a mix between a cake and a bread consistency with a light, whipped cream cheese icing.

4: Butterfinger Dip

I love caramel apples in the fall, so this adaption of apples and dip from The 36th Avenue looks well worth a try.

3: Spinach Tortellini Soup

Nothing beats a warm bowl of soup on a cool Fall day. This recipe from Taste of Home combines yummy tortellini and savory vegetables.

2: Cinnamon Roll Dutch Apple Pie

I already love Dutch Apple Pie, but this recipe from Quick’n Easy Recipes kicks it up a notch with a cinnamon roll crust.

1: Chicken and Dumplings

This dish by Eat At Home is the perfect meal to warm you up on a cool day. Who doesn’t love chicken and dumplings?

So get to the kitchen, and start cooking up something yummy!
